The Independent film "Route 30", written, produced and directed by John Putch is currently up for eleven nominations in the World Music and Independent Film Festival, which will take place August 16th through August 21st, 2010 in Washington DC.   The screening of "Route 30" will take place on Thursday, August 19th at 5 pm at the US Navy Memorial Museum in Washington, DC.

"Route 30" is a comedy about three adjoining stories that take place along Lincoln Highway (Route 30) in Southern Central Pennsylvania.  The film takes the word Humorous to a whole new level.

Part one, "Deer Hunters Wives"  is about Mandy, a Civil War Tour Guide, who is overly obsessed with Jennie Wade, the only civilian killed in the Battle Of Gettysburg, while her good friend, June struggles with an idea to start a porn site to make some extra money.

Part two, "What I Believe" is about a man who tells a story about being chased by Big Foot and ends up seeking help from a Christian Scientist to help cure his back pain.

Part three, "Original Bill" is about a Hollywood writer, who sells everything and decides to buy and move into a farmhouse  so he can clear his head and start writing a book.   To his surprise, he finds out that his Amish neighbor secretly smokes, drinks, swears and watches his TV.

For everyone who watches this film, they will without a dobut, recognize many of the actors.  Dana Dalany and Kevin Rahm, who play on TV's "Desperate Housewives", Curtis Armstrong, who is best known for his role as "Booger" in "Revenge Of The Nerds", David DeLuise, the sn of the late Dom DeLuise and is known for his current role on Disney Channel's Wizards of Waverly Place."

Local celebrity to South Central Pa and everyone's friend, Mr. Ed,  plays himself in the film.  Mr Ed is best known for his peanuts and his collection of elephants from all over the world at his candy store.  Unfortunately, Mr. Ed's store recently burned down but he is very hopefully to have the store rebuilt by the time they start to shoot the sequel.  Other local actors include Alicia Fusting, who has played on the TV Sitcom "Scrubs" and Dan Poole, a Writer and Director from Baltimore, MD.  Dan is known as the "Godfather" of fan base films because of is "Spiderman" clips from the 1990's.  Make sure to look for Dan and his new up and coming film called "The Photon Effect".
